First mentioned as far back as 1120, fourteenth century Morey was a place of asylum for Cistercian monks who appeared to have possessed numerous vineyards and even a winery by 1306. The appellation extends from Chambolle-Musigny to Gevrey-Chambertin and covers around 148 hectares, 80% of which are planted with grapes for red wines.

The plot is situated on the north side of Morey-Saint-Denis at the center of the Premiers Crus, under the "Clos de la Roche", right at the entrance of the village and between "La Riotte" and "Les Faconnières". "Les Millandes" based on deep soil and provide powerful wines of great class.

A wine to keep for the most patient and enjoy with fine marinated game.
