Geographic description

It is in 1120 that we find the first mention of Morey, sanctuary for Cistercian monks in the fourteenth century that probably had a lot of vineyards and even a winery already in 1306. The appellation extends to Chambolle-Musigny and Gevrey-Chambertin has about 148 hectares consisting of 80% red wines. The plot is situated under the village of Morey-Saint-Denis between "Les Sorbès" and "Le Clos Baulet".

Geological description

It probably takes its name from one owner and measures only 3 hectares 32 ares. The vines face east and soils are composed of clay and limestone marl with white pebbles.
