Champs-Chenys

- Description of the appellation
Located south of Dijon, Gevrey-Chambertin is the first village of the Côte de Nuits. It was by Louis Philippe's royal decree in 1847 that the term Chambertin was associated with Gevrey to officially become Gevrey-Chambertin.
- Geological profile
Les Champs-Chenys is a very specific area of the Côte de Nuits located just below Les Charmes-Chambertin. The soil is a mixture of pebbles, cobbles and limestone. A significant amount of iron pyrite is found in the subsoil. The vines are old, about 50 years. Naturally, this parcel produces concentrated style wines.
