Description of the appellation

It was by Louis Philippe's royal decree in 1847 that the term Chambertin was associated with Gevrey to officially become Gevrey-Chambertin.

The grace of the Premier Cru "Petite Chapelle" is matched only by that of its famous elder, the Grand Cru "Chapelle-Chambertin".

Geological profile

This terroir is marbled with fine clay and pebbles. The Petite Chapelle 1er Cru lies on the Marne, which is made up of numerous shells called "ostréa".

Aging : 100% in terracotta.
