Description of the appellation: The Clos de la Roche is the largest of the Morey-Saint-Denis grands crus. It borders the commune of Gevrey-Chambertin. In the 19th century the surface area of the Clos was 4ha. It was enlarged thanks to the establishment of the A.O.C. in 1936. Today its surface area is almost 17ha.

Etymology: The name Clos de la Roche probably comes from the fact that the vines here are on the rock. The hypothesis is also that the name comes from a sacrificial rock, of Celtic origin, which would have been found below the Clos de la Roche.

Aging our wines in a combination of terracotta and wood allows them to fully express the authenticity of their Climat.
